How to delete your account

1. In the app or on the website: sign in, go to Menu → Profile, scroll to “Delete account”, type DELETE to confirm, and submit. Your account is then scheduled for deletion in 30 days.
2. If you can’t sign in: email support@matbracketchallenge.com from the email address on your account and request deletion. We’ll verify ownership and process it.

The 30-day grace period

After you confirm, deletion is scheduled for 30 days out so an accidental deletion can be undone. During that time your account still works normally — just sign in, go to Profile, and tap “Reactivate my account” to cancel the deletion and keep everything. If you don’t reactivate within 30 days, your account is permanently deleted as described below.

What’s deleted after 30 days

• Your login (email/password) — you can no longer sign in.
• Your personal profile info: username is replaced with an anonymous label (e.g. “Deleted Player”), and your nickname, bio, location, social links, and emblems are removed.
• Your chat messages and reactions, push-notification tokens, and notification preferences.

What’s kept (anonymized, no longer linked to you)

To avoid breaking historical results and active competitions, some game records are retained under an anonymous label with no link to your identity:

• Final scores and rankings in leaderboards and season archives (so standings don’t get holes).
• Your rosters, picks, and matchups in leagues/pools/drafts that have already happened or are still in progress (so your opponents’ competitions stay intact).
• Purchase and payment records, retained only as long as required for accounting, tax, refunds, and fraud prevention.
• Safety/moderation records (e.g. reports), retained for a limited period for safety and legal purposes.

Subscriptions

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a subscription. If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, cancel it in your Apple or Google account settings. If you subscribed on the web, cancel it before deleting your account, or email support@matbracketchallenge.com and we’ll cancel it for you.

Processing time

In-app deletion completes 30 days after you confirm (unless you reactivate first). Support-assisted requests are processed promptly and within any applicable legal deadline. Isolated backups expire on their normal rotation and are not restored for ordinary use.
