Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Mat Bracket Challenge is operated by Mat Bracket Challenge LLC, a South Dakota limited liability company (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By creating an account or using our website or mobile apps (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. The Service is a general-audience product and is not directed to children under 13; they may not register or use it. You must provide the 13+ affirmation before creating an account.

3. Your account

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for keeping your credentials secure, and for all activity under your account. One account per person unless we approve otherwise. You may delete your account at any time via Profile → Delete Account (see/account-deletion and our Privacy Policy). Deletion disables your login and anonymizes your profile; historical contest records are retained in de-identified form so leaderboards, leagues, and archives stay coherent, and we may retain payment, tax, safety, and legal records as described in the Privacy Policy. Deleting your account does not cancel an Apple or Google subscription — cancel that in your store account settings.

4. What the Service is

Mat Bracket Challenge is an entertainment platform for making wrestling tournament picks and playing skill-based contests (brackets, pools, Season Fantasy, and drafts) and viewing leaderboards. Fantasy/bracket scoring points shown on leaderboards are a measure of contest performance only and have no monetary value. (This is distinct from RideTime Points — see §8.)

5. Contests & skill-based play

Our contests are games of skill: outcomes depend predominantly on your wrestling knowledge and your lineup, roster, and pick decisions, not on chance. Some contests are free; some require a fee that purchases platform access or a seat (see §6). Prizes, where offered, are RideTime Points (RTP) and/or emblems — never cash, and RTP has no cash value and cannot be cashed out (see §8). Detailed per-contest rules (eligibility, scoring, tiebreakers, cancellations) are published in-product and incorporated by reference.

Not a gambling platform. The Service is not a gambling, wagering, betting, sportsbook, casino, or lottery service, and it must not be used for any of those purposes. Our contests are games of skill, not games of chance: there is no wagering or betting between users, no cash or cash-equivalent stakes, and no payout of winnings. Any fee purchases platform access or a contest seat — it is not a bet, wager, or stake — and any prizes are RideTime Points and/or emblems that have no cash value and cannot be wagered, redeemed for cash, transferred for value, or cashed out (see §8). You agreenot to use the Service to place, accept, conduct, facilitate, or promote any bet, wager, or gambling activity, and not to use it in any way that would violate the gambling, gaming, sweepstakes, or lottery laws of your jurisdiction. You are solely responsible for ensuring your use of the Service is lawful where you live.

6. Payments, taxes, and refunds

• Web purchases are processed by Stripe. Applicable sales tax is added at checkout where required. Digital items are delivered immediately on successful payment.
• What you get and for how long. A paid game unlock (2nd Chance, Confidence Picks, DFS Pick’em, Seed Pick’em) grants access to that game for10 months from the date of purchase, after which it expires and may be purchased again for a future season — it is not a permanent or lifetime unlock. TheAll-Access subscription auto-renews annually until you cancel; you can cancel anytime and keep access through the end of the paid term. An introductory first-year price is available to eligible new subscribers (eligibility determined by the applicable billing channel/store). The exact price, currency, introductory terms, and renewal price are shown to you at the point of purchase — currently, for eligible new subscribers in the United States, $3.99 for the first year, then $7.99 per year. ASeason Fantasy or draft purchase covers that single season’s league only.
• In-app purchases (Apple/Google) are billed through the app store’s in-app purchase system and are subject to that platform’s billing and refund rules.
• Refunds — all sales are final. Except where required by law (or by the applicable app store), all payments are non-refundable and we do not offer refunds, credits, or exchanges for any purchase, including games, bundles, RideTime Points, emblems, subscriptions, and gifts. Gifts are non-refundable. For commissioner-paid contests (Season Fantasy, drafts), the commissioner pays for the league or seats and settles privately with members; no refund is issued when a member is removed or leaves. We resolve duplicate or clearly erroneous charges in good faith.
• Commissioner-pays mechanics: a commissioner purchases access or seats for their league; league members are not charged by us and settle any shared cost privately among themselves.

7. Billing channel restriction (apps)

Where required by Apple or Google, digital unlocks, emblems, and RTP-related benefits purchased inside the native apps use the platform’s in-app purchase system.

8. RideTime Points (RTP) — virtual currency

RTP is a virtual, in-app currency with no monetary value. Specifically:

• RTP has no cash value, cannot be redeemed for cash, and cannot be cashed out or withdrawn.
• RTP is not your property; it is a limited, revocable license to use an in-Service benefit. You do not own RTP and it confers no ownership or property rights.
• RTP is earned (e.g., by purchasing games or bundles, as contest prizes, commissioner distributions, or founder/verified stipends) and is spent only on cosmetic emblems within the Service. RTP is not sold directly for cash at this time.
• RTP is non-transferable, except through supported in-Service gifting features (§10).
• RTP you obtained through a purchase does not expire due to the passage of time for so long as the Service is offered and your account remains in good standing. Promotional or freely-granted RTP may be subject to an expiration date only where that date is disclosed to you at the time it is granted.
• We may correct, suspend, or discontinue RTP balances, earn/spend rules, or pricing, including correcting balances resulting from bugs, errors, or abuse.
• Upon account termination or a violation of these Terms, any RTP balance is forfeited and is not refundable or convertible.

9. Emblems and cosmetics

Emblems and other cosmetic items are licensed, not sold — a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to display them in the Service. We may add, change, retire, or re-theme cosmetics.

10. Gifting

You may gift eligible items (games, bundles, or emblems) to another user, resolved by their username. Gifts are final and non-refundable — confirm the recipient before sending. The recipient can see the sender and the item gifted. You may not gift to yourself.

11. Pools & usage limits

Free and paid accounts are subject to limits on the number of pools or leagues created or joined per season (e.g., a free tier and a paid upgrade). We enforce limits to maintain fair use.

12. User content & Pool Chat

You retain ownership of content you post (e.g., chat messages), and you represent that you have the rights to post it. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and moderate your content to operate the Service. You agree not to post content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, threatening, obscene, infringing, deceptive, or that impersonates others or violates privacy. We may review, remove, or restrict content and suspend or terminate accounts, and may preserve and disclose content where we believe it necessary to comply with law or protect users or the Service. We may terminate repeat infringers. We respond to valid copyright (DMCA) notices; send claims to support@matbracketchallenge.com. You canreport a message or user and block other users in the app; reports may be reviewed and retained for safety and enforcement.

13. Celebrity / verified accounts

Verification and the “verified” badge are granted and revoked at our sole discretion and may be removed at any time. You must not impersonate any person or entity. If you submit biographical material, you represent you have the rights to it and grant us a license to display it. Verification is not an endorsement, sponsorship, partnership, or a guarantee of a person’s identity.

14. Usernames, nicknames & display names

Usernames and display names must be appropriate for a general audience and may not impersonate another user or person. We may remove, modify, or act against any name we deem inappropriate, offensive, misleading, abusive, or inconsistent with the Service, including removal from leaderboards, with or without notice.

15. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, bypass limits or entitlements, interfere with normal operation, scrape or overload the Service, or use it for unlawful purposes.

16. Availability, changes, corrections & data sources

We may modify, suspend, discontinue, or correct any part of the Service (including scoring corrections and contest changes or cancellations) at any time, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Contest results depend on third-party data (including TrackWrestling); we do not guarantee the accuracy, timeliness, or availability of that data and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TrackWrestling, the NCAA, or any conference or school. If a contest is delayed, changed, or cancelled, we may adjust or void scores as described in the per-contest rules.

17. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. On termination, your access ends and, as stated in §8, any RTP balance and cosmetic licenses are forfeited; entitlements may be lost.

18. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee accuracy, results, outcomes, or that the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted. We are not affiliated with TrackWrestling, the NCAA, “March Madness,” Big Ten, or any school or conference.

19. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred U.S. dollars.

20. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.

21. Dispute resolution — binding arbitration & class-action waiver

Please read this section carefully. Except for small-claims matters, any dispute between you and us will be resolved by binding individual arbitration under the Federal Arbitration Act, administered under South Dakota law. You and we waive the right to a jury trial and the right to participate in a class action. Before starting arbitration, you agree to send us a written notice of the dispute and give us an opportunity to resolve it.

22. Governing law & venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Dakota, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules; venue lies in South Dakota, subject to §21.

23. General

If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. We may assign these Terms; you may not without our consent. These Terms, together with the per-contest rules and the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us. Your continued use after we post changes constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.
