Welcome to Mat Bracket Challenge (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By creating an account or using our website, you agree to these Terms of Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the service.

2. Account Registration

You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of your account information and for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Service Description

Mat Bracket Challenge is an entertainment platform that allows users to make tournament picks, participate in pools, and view leaderboards. Points and rankings have no monetary value and are for entertainment purposes only.

4. Payments & Upgrades

Some features require a one-time payment. Payments are processed through Stripe. Purchases are one-time charges (not subscriptions). Prices and features may change in the future.

Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

5. Pools & Usage Limits

Free and paid accounts may be subject to limits on the number of pools that can be created or joined per season. These limits are enforced to maintain fair use of the service.

6. Email Communications

By creating an account, you agree that we may send you emails related to your account, service updates, and season/tournament announcements (such as bracket resets). We aim to keep emails infrequent and relevant. You may opt out of non-essential communications at any time.

7. Username & Display Name Policy

Usernames and display names must be appropriate for a general audience. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to remove, modify, or take action against any username or account that we determine to be inappropriate, offensive, misleading, abusive, or otherwise inconsistent with the intended use of the service. This may include removal of the account and exclusion from leaderboards, with or without prior notice.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the service, attempt to bypass limits, interfere with normal operation, or use the platform for unlawful purposes.

9. Availability & Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

10. Disclaimer

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee accuracy, results, or outcomes.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the applicable laws of the state in which the service operator resides.
